so far 2010 has been an eventful year.
i got my first lappy. a love/hate relationship
my first paid haircut.
a love/hate relationship with my job.9am to 11pm workshifts aint funny.
my phone finally died on me.
i gained enough weight for blood donating!
i fell in love with cider.
a love/hate relationship with my friends.mainly cause im jealous of all the fun they are having.
and i got into uq. x)
australia is also a love.hate relationship.

i know its four days late but all this talk about resolutions got me thinking of some of my own.
so here goes.

1. ill gain enough weight to donate blood

2. ill stop tilting my head while taking pictures cause they make my eyes go tiny

3. ill find a way to cure my disgusting skin condition once and for all

4. ill reduce my LV eyebags with more sleep (HAH! never gonna happen)

5. ill go at least one overseas trip with friends (be it groupie or h07 peeps)

6. ill dress for halloween this year

7. ill go for zouk out this year

8a. ill find some university who will take me (local or overseas)

8b. if its overseas. i sumpah ill get myself a tongue piercing

9. ill be heathly and exercise ( i say this every year but it never happens)

10. ill find some 24/7 companion whos willing to do crazy random stuff with me (males and females can apply)

11. ill freaking get my license on the 1st try

12. ill collect enough postcards to start my postcard wall

13. ill print this and stick it somewhere and make sure i complete every single one of them!

Working Culture
For my department, It is very normal to knock off at 7pm.In actual fact, I believe there is an unspoken fear about knocking off on the dot. Having done so will lead one to be tagged as someone not hardworking enough not helpful enough and sort. In fact, nobody will actually go off at 6pm on the dot, people would usually only start going home at about 6.20pm and later or so from my observations.

However, I believe once one is done with the day’s work and done asking around if anyone needs help one is not obligated and free to do as he or she pleases after office hours unless of course one have to stay back to rush assignments through and should not be held back because of such “rules” and to adhere to people’s weird expectations and beliefs.

YA RIGHT.YOU ONLY START ASKING FOR HELP AFTER YOU SAW MY JOURNAL.
YOU ALWAYS SAY YOU HAVE TONS TO DO BUT YOUR THE FIRST TO LEAVE. LAUGHABLE

Rather than stay back to conform and impress, I believe following Mr Knipp’s footsteps in asking for new tasks and knowledge when he is done with the day’s jobs will be a good choice . Much as I would love to, I believe it is not possible to do so in the events side as each and everyone is too caught up in their own load of work and would also not actually have the time to guide us as much as we would love to. Besides, they also do not really dare entrust us the interns to be deeply involved in the real work that they would have to do up.

Another point I would like to put my views across would be that as long as one gets his or her work done nobody should be judged by how he or she gets her work done or by going off on the dot as we are all special in our own ways and thus do up our work differently. But sadly, this only happens in the ideal world or probably only considered and practised by respected and matured individuals.

SORRY PEOPLE JUST DONT ENTRUST YOU WORK.
WANT TO KNOW WHY?

Different working habits and styles
There would also be people who hold differing values and thus will rub one another in a way or another. It just applies in the same way where different people having different style of working as well as likes and dislikes. just watched this show on hbo and it really got me thinking.

went to bonitochico's 3rd birthday bash with drusilla today.
kinda fun. they had a runway show.lucky draw.high tea session.free manicure and stuff.
i think im kinda unlucky recently. first 100 ppl to the bash will receive a free goodie bag. dru and i was number 111 and 112.
then during the lucky draw the winners were 110 and 211. like wth!
anyway i seriously regretted wearing heels today. i think dru regretted too.cause i whine the entire outing today.hahas.
oh after the birthday bash we went to find sy.

yesterday have to be the most unlucky clubbing experience ever.
first off.queue at butter fac was super freaking long. took ages just to get inside.
and dru had her usual stunts of forgetting to bring her ezlink card.
when we were finally inside.the stupid bag place was full so we had to carry our bags and no one knew where to queue for the free drinks and the guys were like far far awayyyyyy in the queue.
so we end up leaving bf to rebel.
at rebel.dru couldnt get in and kel shoes broke.
then finally inside rebel.we realize we couldnt get our free drink cause we didnt have some coupon.
the bouncer outside was nice enough to tell us to go lunar and get our 25 free drinks.
BUT! in order to get into lunar we needed our identification and they are all in the lockers!!!!
PLUS. the stupid 25 drinks offer was for the first 300 customers and we are number 400. wtf.
so in the end we went 7 eleven. got one johnny walker and 2 big gulps and drank away. seriously its soooo much cheaper then drinking in the clubs.
at 1am we finally hit the dance floor. hop around zirca and rebel but the music seems to suck everytime we enter the place.
dance till 3 plus.had macs breakfast and reached home at 5.
and as tired as i am i fucking couldnt get to sleep. arghs!!!!
alcohol always does that to me. x(
so now im awake.tired.with sore legs.
and i have a ftt test tomo that i havnt even started learing.

im starting to detest school more and more recently.
its no longer the fun place with 1h07 people anymore.
damn it i rarely even see them in school.
sip is seriously getting the best of me. stupid system.its forcing you to compete with your frends for one pathetic job thats gonna make you miserable for the next 5 months.then after that whats next for you.being thrown into the digusting working world.

yesterday was BEN AND JERRYS FREE CONE DAY! YAYS! x)

went queuing with sy and pearlyn bimbo at the cathay and after that watch 17 again.

seriously 17 again is like the ultimate zac efron eye feast.every scene is him! goodness.well at least his hair is nice.hahas

next went aston for dinner and dru house for htht.

after that meet up with boyfriend for a while and that boy is love love love love love love. XD

because he bought ben and jerrys for me. yays! x)

and to counter with my stupid cough and sore throat he bought me woods and honey lemon strepsils x) hees.

yesterday was ms bimbo pearlyns birthday x)
made the birthday girl cooked for us.pasta and sausages and clam chowder.
and at night we partyed like rockstars! hahas.
aftermath of clubbing is not good.
im having sore throat.coughing like mad and my head is pounding.
maybe thats the reason why you shouldnt go clubbing when your sick.
